Isaac is not supposed to take the books off of mommy and daddy’s book shelf.  This is something that is very hard for him.  He will just stand there and look at them with an unbelievable longing to throw each one on the floor.  Sometimes he just has to touch them a little.   I do have to say that if he sees no one is in the room he will often run in there and pull the books off before we know he is doing it.

Isaac got to play with little James on Sunday night.   He really enjoyed pressing on James nose and patting his hair.  We are still working on being “gentle” as Isaac was really squishing James’ little nose.  This could be a preview of things to come for us in a few months.

I was folding laundry in the bedroom the other day and Isaac was running around the house.  Normally this wouldn’t be a problem but he got really quiet.  I should have known that would mean he was doing something that he shouldn’t be.  I should have also remembered from the zucchini bread experience that Isaac can reach pretty far onto the counter now.  When I came into the kitchen I found Isaac on the floor with the bag of grapes that I just bought a few hours earlier.  He had emptied most of them onto the floor as you can see.  Some of them were sweet and some were sour so the sour ones got spit back out on the floor while he ate the sweet ones.  I guess the kitchen floor needed mopping anyways.

Isaac has been transitioning out of taking a morning nap recently.  This morning when I saw him laying like this in the living room, I figured that he still needed one today.  He is pretty good a letting us know when he needs one and goes down really easily.   Now to see how the afternoon nap will go…

Isaac has really been enjoying zucchini bread lately.  Earlier today he had some which I cut into little pieces for him so it doesn’t make too many crumbs.  Later when I was in our bedroom Isaac came in to show me something.  He had somehow gotten a loaf off the counter, gotten the plastic wrap off and was proceeding to eat it.  At first I couldn’t figure out what he was showing me but it became evident very quickly as he was taking bites off of it.  Of course, I had to get the camera first and take pictures and then I took it away from him. He was pretty sad about that, to put it mildly.

Isaac and I went to Jeff’s soccer game tonight and Isaac had a great time.  He really enjoyed playing with the ice cubes from one of the coolers.  He would put one in his mouth and then spit it out on the ground, pick it up and put it in his mouth again.   I guess a little dirt never hurts a little boy

Isaac had a lot of fun playing at the Talkington’s on Monday.   He really enjoyed the splash pool and did not want to get out.  He also like the Cozy Coup but Avery thought it should be her turn and Isaac did not quite know what to do when she climbed in on top of him.
